Dear Student,
Due to the extension of the application deadline for the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Degree Programme – 2026 Intake until 28th September 2026, an additional opportunity will be provided for students to enter the BIT Degree Programme through the Foundation in Information Technology (FIT) pathway.
The e-Learning Centre (eLC) provides this opportunity particularly for students with pending G.C.E. A/L results to enter the BIT Degree Programme through the FIT pathway. Other students may also apply for the Special FIT e-Test.
- The e-Learning Centre has tentatively scheduled the commencement of the Special FIT e-Test on 6th October 2026.
- Students who wish to sit for the Special FIT e-Test must complete their FIT registration on or before 24th September 2026. (To register, please visit fit.bit.lk.)
- Students who have already completed their FIT registration may also apply for the Special FIT e-Test until 30th September 2026.
Important Information
- Please note that students who have already applied for the BIT Degree Programme – 2026 Intake with pending FIT results do not need to submit a new BIT application.
- Students who complete all three FIT e-Tests through this Special FIT e-Test will be eligible to proceed with the BIT Degree Programme – 2026 Intake, subject to fulfilling the relevant admission requirements.
- Students are advised to complete their FIT registration and Special FIT e-Test application within the specified deadlines.
